There are plenty of bourbon whiskeys that look and sound exactly alike. But 1792 is different — more urban, more stylish, more sophisticated. The brief was to put that difference at the center of a new campaign. We built the platform around one word: Untypical.

I was the sole art director on the project, with ownership of the campaign from concept through delivery. For the digital and social launch, I developed the visual language and designed all social assets, working with Illustrator and Animator Ariel Costa through production of The Untypical Stories, a series of crafted short films that brought untypical nights to life through illustration and sound.

For the poster series, I designed every piece myself start to finish. Inspired by vintage European illustrated posters, they gave the brand a visual sophistication that matched the whiskey's character. The series earned a Communication Arts Illustration Annual selection and a Graphis Silver.
